Mia the Therapy Dog Brings Joy to Kingsacre Care Home

Life at Kingsacre Care Home in Duntocher, near Clydebank, has become a little brighter thanks to the regular visits from Mia, our much-loved therapy dog. Mia has quickly become a cherished part of our community, bringing comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles to residents and staff alike.

During her visits, Mia spends quality time with residents, offering gentle affection and calm companionship that everyone enjoys. For those who are able, she also joins residents on short walks in the local area, making the most of the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. Her presence has had a truly positive impact, and it’s easy to see why she’s such a big hit around the home.

Pet therapy has long been recognised for its many benefits, both emotional and physical. Spending time with animals can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and encourage social interaction. For our residents, Mia’s visits provide a wonderful sense of connection, helping to lift spirits and promote wellbeing.
