Unveiling Our New Minibus

Minibus outside Kingsacre Care Home

We’re excited to unveil our brand new minibus, providing dedicated transport for our residents and opening up even more opportunities to enjoy life both within and beyond our home.

This wonderful addition enables us to stay closely connected to our community, with regular outings into nearby villages such as Duntocher and Clydebank, as well as trips further afield to the vibrant city of Glasgow. Whether it’s a visit to a characterful café, time spent in beautiful parks and gardens or exploring a fascinating museum, these outings offer a refreshing change of pace and scenery.

Regular outings also provide valuable cognitive stimulation and meaningful opportunities for reminiscence, helping residents reflect on fond memories and create new ones. Staying connected to the local community is so important for maintaining a sense of belonging in the place our residents call home, supporting their identity and overall wellbeing.

From a practical perspective, the minibus will also play an important role in day-to-day life. It allows us to comfortably take residents to medical appointments, attend support groups outside of the home and enjoy a variety of cultural and social events, all with ease and reassurance.

Above all, the minibus provides a safe and reliable mode of transport. Residents and their families can have complete peace of mind knowing that every journey is carefully supported by our team, without the need to rely on public transport or wait for taxis. This added flexibility means we can plan more trips and ensure safer outings, promoting independence for all residents, particularly those with higher mobility needs.

If you’d like to become part of our warm and welcoming Kingsacre community, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch with our friendly team today or arrange a home visit to find out more about how we can support you and your loved ones, and the many ways we nurture our residents’ physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
