Getting Out and About in West Dunbartonshire

We believe that West Dunbartonshire truly is the ideal place to reside in Scotland. Our home positioned in the quaint village of Duntocher really couldn’t be placed in a more quiet, picturesque part of the countryside. Just a very short drive into the heart of Duntocher and the surrounding areas, residents are close to the local shops, cafes and pubs for a pleasant day out with whoever they wish to accompany them.

For those wanting to spend the day with loved ones, residents can travel to Clydebank and other nearby places. Clydebank is famous for its river – The River Clyde. Stretching 106 miles in length, it’s a highly recommended place to visit, where the Clyde Arc can also be admired.

Popular spots in West Dunbartonshire such as Clydebank Museum and Clyde Shopping Centre are in close proximity to The River Clyde so getting to and from each destination is a simple process. Residents who enjoy a game of golf, Clydebank has its own golf club, and surrounding nature parks for those who like to be active.

Nursing Care

Our skilled staff including district nurses are always on hand to provide around-the-clock medical care and personal care at our nursing home. Residents with physical limitations, palliative care needs, or a high level of dependency get 24-hour nursing care and support from our highly qualified and dedicated nurses.

A nurse will be appointed to spend time with each individual resident, as well as their friends and family, to obtain a complete understanding of their needs and interests to create a customised care plan. We recognise that care needs change over time in most situations, but you can be confident that our nursing care home staff will keep track of residents’ needs and adjust care when needed.

We Are Here for You

We are proud to be regulated by the Care Inspectorate which is an independent regulator that inspects the quality of care of health and social care services in Scotland which includes residential care homes and nursing homes in West Dunbartonshire. The Care Inspectorate also provides support services, working with a local authority in order to make positive changes when required. We are proud of the high-quality care we provide, and residents can rest assured their care needs will be taken care of.

Knowing whether someone is ready to move to a care home or knowing the type of care they might need is not always obvious to make an informed decision. Our helpful staff are here to discuss your loved ones needs and provide expert advice in deciphering the right care method. By providing care for residential, nursing, dementia or respite needs, we can cater to a wide range of needs and preferences.
