Summer Fete Success – Celebrating Community and Fun!

On Saturday 29th July, Kingsacre Care Home in West Dunbartonshire held a Summer Fete for all of the local community to come to the care home and participate in a range of activities, socialise with one another and help raise funds for the residents, where the money will go towards creating fun and engaging activities.

Despite the rain, it was a huge success. Residents, families and local community all enjoyed the time to come together and celebrate.

The fete took place inside and outside in the gardens. There was a selection of delicious bbq food and plenty of refreshments to go around.

There were so many fun activities, especially for the younger generation which were children and grandchildren of staff and residents. Local businesses set up stalls, we had a bouncy castle, DJ, fire brigade, raffle, tombola, local dance school performing and therapy ponies for all to enjoy.

We managed to raise over £700 on the day. A big thank you to everyone who donated. This money will go towards organising exciting activities for residents in the upcoming months, so watch this space!

It was also great to have Clydebank Post write a publication about the day and the big turnout.
