Resident Wearing Witch Hat & Enjoying a Drink

Halloween Fun

We had so much fun over the past week getting ready for our Halloween Party on October 31st. Areas of the home were decorated in Halloween themed decorations to get everyone in the spooky spirit. Some residents helped carve faces on pumpkins in preparation. On one of the days residents and staff had a go at decorating scary looking eyeball biscuits and spider cookies. They may have looked scary but at least they tasted delicious.

There were many fun activities going on around the home organised by the activities team and it was clear to see that our residents had a whale of a time. There was countless amounts of sweets and chocolate treats on offer to residents and staff which resulted in a sugar high for many.

During the party celebrations, residents had a go at apple bobbing and there was a piñata for residents to take a swing at and see if they could reach the sweets inside! There was lots of upbeat music being played throughout the party and some residents couldn't help but to get up and dance with staff members.

As the evening drew closer, residents had the choice of watching Halloween appropriate films in the cinema room - which we made sure weren't too frightening of course!

All in all, we had a brilliant Halloween celebration, and we can't wait to see what the month of November brings.
